Due to a current project that extended beyond the anticipated duration and the pending weather for tomorrow, Gum St. closure will now begin on Monday, March 20th. Individuals who reside on Gum St. between Peaks St. & Galax St. will still be allowed access.
🚨Attention Town residents 🚨– Gum St. between Peaks & Galax St. will be closed to Through Traffic starting tomorrow, March 14th due to Public Works replacing a storm pipe under the street. Individuals who reside on this section of Gum St. will still be allowed access. The project should only take a couple of days to complete pending weather and unforeseen complications.
On behalf of the Council for the Town of Bedford, we are informing our community about the proposal to adjust the Town's boundaries by bringing in certain areas lying generally to the north, northeast, northwest, west, southwest, and south of the existing Town. This morning the town experienced a fire located in the Sister 2 Sister (121 South Bridge Street) establishment, which also effected Peace of Mind Civil Engineering (119 South Bridge Street) next door. Due to the quick action of our Bedford Fire Department the fire has been contained and most importantly there were no injuries. Both businesses have experienced extensive damage however, so we ask that you keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
President’s Day Town offices will be closed on Monday, February 20. Garbage scheduled for pick up on Monday, February 20, will be collected on Tuesday, February 21.
